Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Reduce heat and let the sauce thicken for about 5-7 minutes.
While the sauce thickens, preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
Place the salmon skin-side down in the skillet.
Cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
Flip the salmon and brush with the teriyaki sauce.
Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, basting with sauce.
Once cooked through, remove from heat and let rest for a couple of minutes.
