Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 2 burger buns
  • Pickles
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting excess drip off.
  • Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture until fully coated.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  • Toast the burger buns lightly in the same pan.
  • Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.
  • Place the crispy chicken on top, add pickles, and close the sandwich.
